Win a Chalkboard Print from Maggies Place - 3 Winners!

Maggies Place is a store I have set up to showcase some of the best bits I have found from around the globe.

I love letterpress, I love script, I love vintage styling and I love things that make me smile so I hope my whole store will do just that for you

In my quest to find delightful things for Down that Little Lane I often discover wonderful gems that either can't come and join the family as they are too far away and postage is prohibitive, only sell via wholesale or are simply just to small to have another line in the water.

Well if they can't come to me, I will come to them....

I am giving 3 lucky winners a chance to choose an (unframed) chalkboard print of your choice from my store.

All you need to do to enter is tell us in 25 words or less which chalkboard sign you would choose and why? Then follow the prompts in the Rafflecopter Widget below to validate your entry.

The competition is open now and closes 10/05/14 at 11.59pm AEST.

Good Luck!

New in Store

Who's in your team?

Yep I know you can't read bugger all in that picture so you had best go here :)

I don't make mistakes..

I may do things incorrectly or go about things the wrong way but I don't see them as mistakes. It can't be a mistake if you learn something from it that makes you stronger or teaches you something new can it?

It's all about how you come out of situations, like I said that I don't do grudges well same goes here. I don't do grudges as they take up too much negative energy, they make me sad and just don't get me to a better place in life whatever I do with them. Mistakes are just the same. Learn a lesson and move on.

Clearly some mistakes can effect others and I am the first to apologise if it is not for the better but as I never go out to harm someone it is usually pretty simple and as I have said to many of my mates over the years as we have ridden the waves 'a true friendship will endure'.

I have had a laugh of late with business stuff.. DTLL has clearly got to a stage where businesses we cross genres or possibly consumers with see us as a threat of sorts.

I have had such a laugh at mistakes in business over the past 2 years..

People asking my web boys to build them a website ' just like DTLL',
legal letters with no weight about words used in our advertising spaces,
sly approaches to my trusted staff to poach them to another firm
all the way to blatant bullying of small businesses into putting all their eggs in one basket for no promise of any return.

Every time it has reminded me how I just don't do mistakes.

I partnered with my web boys and we built DTLL from scratch..
I use a professional for our ads, he knows the law and we know our rights
My staff are loyal, I wouldn't employ someone who would jump ship easily.. no idea why anyone else would want to either
There are reasons we care about our stores sales and whether they are getting sales.. it is called having a future..

You know when you write a post and think why did I write this? should I even publish it? That is me right now but I will because I might learn something and if I wrote it I clearly feel the need to share it

Do you manage to see the positives in stuff, make mistakes much?

Win A Robe or Kaftan of Your Choice From Be Still Homewares

Be Still Homewares was founded in January 2008 by Sarah an Australian Industrial and Graphic Designer.

Sarah has a passion for fabric and pattern and after a trip to Bangkok in 2008 where she fell in love with the gorgeous fabric that was available, she felt a need to transform that fabric into beautiful designs. The unique products created by Sarah make up the Be Still Homewares range.

Sarah continues to collect and use fabric from several countries including Thailand, Japan, India, Uzbekistan and Kashmir. In 2011 Sarah further added to her collection with a range of embroidered cushions that are designed by her and produced in India.

We are huge fans of lounging around in these gorgeous robes on a Sunday morning and so we along with Karen from Yellow Dandy Blog (who also happens to be a lover of Be Still Homewares) are thrilled that Sarah has offered the winner of this competition your choice of a robe or kaftan from her store.

All you need to do to enter is leave us a comment telling us in 25 words or less - your favorite way to spend a Sunday morning.

Then follow the prompts in the Rafflecopter widget below and you are in with a chance to win.

Ava's Nursery...

Oh she just keeps them coming... Belinda is back from Petite Vintage Interiors with another stunning nursery shot by Jody .

I love how Belinda always uses products that can grow with your child and even get stolen by Mum if your children will ever let you!!..

As always so much DTLL loving in these pictures we just had to share because it makes us proud..

The stool as a side table adds such versatility, the gold polka dot decals are so easy an cheap to create a feature wall and the rug could be used in any room you wanted..

I love the use of bookshelves in kids bedrooms
Our deer head looks amazing and who could not adore the touch of a happy cloud pillow

As for the letter light and our peacock cabinet.. I lust after them daily and adore the finishing touches of
a soft toy you would want to keep forever
Another stunning collection by Belinda I say.. and did you see the boys room she did as one of her first jobs that I shared last week?

They always want the boys...

Who always wants the boys? Well our divine ladies over on Facebook.. we share the works of the amazing interior designers that use our products and we adore so much but it just often seems to be girls rooms..

I actually did a boys room last Friday but in the mean time one of my old school friends in the UK tagged me in for a little help on creating a boys army room that was not all guns and camo.

I was rather busy that day but of course the wannabe interior designer took over and I sat on my deck and made up a little story board before work.

I would/could have done one totally DTLL but with her being based in the UK I stuck to simple products that I hope she can also find in the UK.

Anywho I figured I would share it here for our Mum's who wanted some by room input..

Need a hand with a room? Am I any help? Not sure really.. What do you think?

Morning Show Magic..

We were a little proud to see Chris from our DTLL Blogger Family in The Morning Show the other day.. pretty sure it was his first time on TV and he was totally fab!!. Check it out  here :)

Doesn't he look right at home?

Cosi's Nursery...

We don't get to share as many boys nursery stories as I would like so bringing you one of Belinda from Petite Vintage Interiors first jobs is quite the treat.

I am a lover of all things grey and silver and this room does not disappoint. Simply styled with lots of space for Master Cosi to play this is one of my favourite space I have seen for a little fella..

Photographed by Darren and styled by Cosi's Mum :)

The Letter Light is fabulous and always draws your eye :) and I adore how the wall design has a specific
space for a fabulous Deer Head

This rug is super fab as you can wash it down and dust it off with ease

The egg chair from Incy is a classic and the garland in black adds some pretty but 'boy' pretty

Another top job by Belinda.. What colour did you do your boys nursery?

Bondi Harvest : Cucumber and Proscuitto Salad

I will have you know Cucmber is far more tasty than Cucumber.. did you see that up there?

Guy just simply makes good food easy and thats a true talent in my book.. give this one a crack. I did it with smoked trout and....OMG.. Thanks Guy :)
