  1. Choose a seat not a side. Great for next to our dining table; we have a blended family and different cultural backgrounds...

  2. It has to be the Ferris Bueller sign. I'm a massive fan of 80's movies, and this one is a classic. Love it!

  4. tough choice. wanted to 'be' ferris bueller (still do!) but with a blended & (slightly disfunctional) family 'choose a seat not a side' is the one!

  6. "Friends become our chosen family" Living a long distance away from any family for most our childrens short lives makes this quote hit home. Our friends are family, not only for us as parents but also for our children.

  8. I adore the "Friends become our chosen family" - very similar to something I say so often myself "Our friends are the family we choose for ourselves". As we grow older, no matter our past and family situation, we choose to surround ourselves with those who love us not just for our DNA connection, but because of WHO we are!

  16. It does look pretty cool. I'm a hopeless cook though, so I'd probably end up burning it. I think I'll pass this onto my clever SIL instead :)
